Q: Can my student be part-time at CCS 6th-10th grade?

A: No, any students enrolled at CCS 6-10th grade must be full-time.
 
 

Q: What are my options for 11th and 12th grade?

A: Option 1: Full-time student at CCS (some classes can be done online through Red Comet [a free online program])
    Option 2: Running start through CBC. Students will graduate through CCS and will be enrolled at CCS, as well as their boundary school and CBC.
    Option 3: Tri-Tech. Students are enrolled half day at Tri-Tech and the other half at CCS.
    Option 4: Running start through CBC and morning or afternoon at Tri-Tech (extremely rigorous).. 
 
 

Q: Why do I have to register my child at their boundary school if they are doing running start?

A: Running start is funded through your child’s boundary public school.
 
 

Q: Who keeps track of my child’s graduation credits?

A: Whether your child is registered at CCS full-time, part-time or they’re not on campus at all, CCS tracks their credits.
 
 

Q: Is there a payment if my child is at CBC full-time and not taking any classes at Calvary Christian School?

A: Yes. There is a yearly registration and administration fee. The registration fee enrolls them at CCS. The administration fee covers the counselor tracking graduation credits, counseling on classes to take at CBC at least tri-annually with students and parents, and any drop-in Biblical counseling. 
 
 

Q: How does payment work for my child if they are part-time at Calvary Christian School?

A: There is still a registration and administration fee. Any classes (other than Bible) would cost (see “Join Us!” section) per class with books included in that cost.
 
 

Q: How does my child stay involved at Calvary Christian School if they are not on campus?

A: Students can come to Bible class (free for running start and tri-tech students). Students are invited to join chapel on Friday mornings. A study hall room is dedicated to off campus students in the jr/sr high office. A Band app regularly updates students with what is going on each week. Lastly, students are invited to attend any high school events.
 
 

Q: Is Calvary Christian School accredited?

A: No, we are Washington State Board approved. This means CCS is viewed as an institution at the Washington State level. It also means accredited public high schools accept our high school credit.

 

Q: Will my student receive a high school diploma or a GED when they graduate through Calvary Christian School?

A: Students will receive a high school diploma.
 
 

Q: Does Calvary Christian School have a high school graduation?

A: Yes. Caps, gowns, ceremony, diploma. Everything you would see at a typical graduation.
 
 

Q: Can students go to college if they graduate from Calvary Christian School?

A: Yes. We have meticulously aligned ourselves to the standards WA State/OSPI has set to graduate. Colleges look at transcripts to see if educational standards have been met. It is not based on if a school is accredited or not. 
 
 

Q: What schools have students been accepted to?

A: so far- Grand Canyon University, Arizona State University, MSU Missoula
 
 

Q: Can potential student-athletes participate at the next level if they graduate from Calvary Christian School?

A: Yes, we are cleared through the NCAA Clearinghouse and our credits have been accepted at the NCAA level.
 
 

Q: Does Calvary Christian School have a consortium with GCU (Grand Canyon University)?

A: Yes. What does this mean? Any student desiring to go to GCU (whether online or in person) can receive a scholarship up to $4,000/year for each year they attend Calvary Christian School in high school. This could be up to $16,000 towards schooling. This does not include other scholarships and academic scholarships which could be obtained.
